An essential step towards hole-iness

The contraption is mechanically functional and yet it is not an interactive piece, it is merely a sculpture. The piece appears to dwell with the act of joining one’s palms together whilst kneeling down, mostly attributed to praying. As it does not serve any specific or definite purpose, it may suggest a number of ambiguous and possibly contradicting connotations; which may be equally meaningful or meaningless to the viewer.
