Fused plastic toys, wood, glass and paint

These works have been created from re-assembling different toys (from my childhood) which are now treated as small scale sculptures or assemblages. They aim at engaging the viewer by their size and familiarity now reinterpreted in a different form. The process involved in creating these pieces relates directly to the material (as toy and plastic), as they were conceived by ‘playing’ around with the toy parts now to create spontaneous compositions without any prior plans or sketches. The plastic parts are bonded in one solid piece by means of heat.
