The 'Homage' Series (Heads on Stands)

Through this series, the representation the human head is revisited. Prior to creating this work, studies revolving around physiognomy were conducted inevitably leading to a relatively different outcome. The aim was to explore the general likeness to ‘a’ or ‘any head’, relying heavily on form through the use of sculpture. Details are diminished, bringing forth ‘new’ features idiosyncratic to each piece, hence aiding in defining and distinguishing one from another.
